It's time to get excited Australia because a name that's associated with Australian motor sport pride and success thanks to Sir Jack Brabham and Ron Tauranac has materialised with a name and an engine sound.

Brahham Automotive has announced the name of their first road car by calling it the BT62. The prefix BT started back in 1961 by three-time F1 world champion Sir Jack Brabham and former Brabham engineer and racing car designer Ron Tauranac.

Back in 1966, Sir Jack Brabham made history with another famous Brabham F1 car the BT19. Sir Jack Brabham in his BT19 became the first to win a Formula 1 race in a car bearing the driver’s name. He would also that year become the outright winner of the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship as well as earn Brabham their first Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship in the same year.

By the sounds of it, the Brabham BT62 sounds like a V8 which is music to our ears because here at Car Hamlet we love V8's. Also, mark down on your calendar a reminder for the 2nd of May because that's the day Brabham Automotive presents to the world the BT26.

It sounds like a a V8 people, Giddy up!
