It's now less than two weeks until we see the all-new Brabham BT62. The newly formed company will be showing the new BT62 to the worlds media on the 2nd of May.

Brabham Automotive will be taking the unique steps of displaying the BT62 to the public at a central London location from Friday the 4th of May to Saturday the 5th of May. Brabham Automotive hasn't confirmed the location for public exhibit yet, but if you're in London for those dates do yourself a favour by checking it out.

In the lead up to the unveiling, Brabham Automotive has dropped a new image of the BT62 along with further information about their all-new road car.

So, what has Brabham Automotive confirmed about the BT62, one thing we have always expected was it will have a powerful V8. Which we can now happily prove is correct. Brabham Automotive has confirmed it will have a naturally-aspirated 5.4-litre V8 engine.

The new teaser image is our 1st real glimpse of the BT62. The picture shows the rear end of the car with a shallow slug wing. The rear wing is part of an overall downforce package that's meant to produce over 1200kg of downforce. Brabham has also said the BT62 will have a dry weight of just 972kg and a power-to-weight ratio of 730ps, or 720bhp per tonne. So, the aerodynamic package along with its low weight should make it a race track slayer.

Other things to note from the image is it will have some unique LED tail lights. They are going to look impressive once the sun goes down.

Also, the BT62 will come with carbon brakes, Brabham has said that this will help with saving weight plus it will help with braking performance.

2018 marks 70 years since Sir Jack Brabham started his racing career in Australia. Brabham Automotive has confirmed that 70 examples of the BT62 will be made to celebrate the anniversary.

Overall it's great to see the hard work that David Brabham and his team have put in over the last few years, which is now finally coming to fruition.

I can't wait to see a BT62 in Australia where it all started with Sir Jack Brabham 70 years ago.
